NYC CLC statement on the repeal of SB 5 in Ohio
“Congratulations to the workers of Ohio and their supporters on this tremendous win. They successfully pushed back a well-funded anti-worker agenda, and scored a major victory on behalf of hard-working families in Ohio and across the country,” said Vincent Alvarez, President of the NYC Central Labor Council.
“It was truly impressive to see the broad-based participation of diverse New York City unions -- from the public and private sectors and building trades -- that went to Ohio to help fight for economic fairness,” said Alvarez, one of several local labor leaders and staff who traveled to the Buckeye State to assist with mobilization and voter turnout.
